Welcome to the CRM Software blog!

Hello folks!

Over the past year I have become very familiar with several CRM softwares, especially in the small business setting. I figured since I had tried most of them out, I could write about them for the knowledge of the general public!

Feel free to discuss any or all of these, I'll try to answer any questions that anyone might have.

Finding new CRM software is tough- I know because I spent 8 weeks trying to figure out which one to choose for my company. It all comes down to your individual company's needs and wishes. Most CRMs are capable of doing anything you want, being formatted any particular way that you want, etc.

The main thing to consider is price-- how much is your company willing to pay? Do they want just a one-time fee? Or would they be willing to pay a monthly fee (for "in the cloud" purposes)? And how many users will there be? Most CRMs charge by user, so it is important to keep that in mind when choosing a CRM.

A few other things to note:

-Most CRMs have a 15 or 30 day free trial. I highly recommend taking advantage of that to ensure that your have selected the CRM that is best for your company. Nothing is worse than buying it & realizing that it is not what you wanted. (Just be warned that you will be bothered by Sales people for those 15-30 days, offering special deals and wanting to give you a preview of the program)

-If you need to transfer data into your new CRM, it can cost you extra money, or at least extra time & can be a hassle, especially if you have existing CRM software that is old. Just be prepared for that. (It's usually pretty easy if all of your data is in Outlook or an Excel spreadsheet, but otherwise it might be tricky).
